Using proprietary technologies, WRAP provides direct access for retail platforms, brokers and wealth managers to capital fundraises for growing public companies.

Direct access for retail platforms, brokers and wealth managers

WRAP is the only platform that offers a comprehensive retail distribution solution with full in-house delivery – nothing is outsourced to third parties enabling us to maintain control throughout.

Open to the whole of the retail market – access to WRAP is available to over 300 retail counterparties of Winterflood across Wealth Managers, Private Clients Brokers and IFAs. Trusted partner with all major Execution Only Platforms.

Winterflood has also enabled new Gilt auctions available via WRAP. This has attracted significant retail demand and offers a proof-of-concept for corporate bonds which would fit seamlessly into the WRAP distribution solution.

The importance of retail participation

Retail investors play a key role in capital markets and act as an important liquidity provider for companies. Retail ownership is an important part of companies' shareholder registers and Boards are keen to see that ownership grow.

It is estimated that the retail market is worth over £2 trillion, with 9.7m people in UK with investable assets of more than £10,000 held in cash, and more than 4m want some form of investment risk*.

Supporting retail participation in fundraises demonstrates good corporate governance and helps to maximise secondary market liquidity. The FCA, Treasury, LSE and the UK Government support retail participation.
