In this month’s Winterflood Retail Intelligence (WRI) report, we have seen GSK and Taylor Wimpey to rise up the rankings, climbing 9 and 10 places, respectively. This movement underscores how retail investors are actively responding to company news, with Taylor Wimpey’s jump driven largely by trading on 30 July, immediately following its H1 results. Similarly, GSK saw a significant spike in interest on the same day, following its Q2 earnings and further amplified by news that a US panel rejected a competitor’s blood cancer drug. Retail flows are proving highly responsive to earnings and market moving developments.
